Trade Agencies Department is concerned with supervising the application of the federal law No. (18) of 1981 concerning organizing the trade agencies and its amendment, as regards the registration, cancellation , complaints , resolution of disputes , inspection and control. It joins the two following sections:
1. Registration and Renewal Section.
2. Disputes section.
A- Registration and Renewal Section.
The Registration and Renewal Section is concerned with the following tasks:
Receiving the applications for registering in the trade agents register and giving opinion.
Taking the procedures of publishing the decision issued decision of accepting the registration with the details related to it in the official paper and notifying the municipalities and customs departments, the union of the chambers of commerce and industry and the concerned chamber of commerce and industry.
Receiving the application of canceling the agency registration from the trade agents register in the conditions required by law.
Suggesting cancellation of the registration if one of the conditions mentioned in law ended for the agent.
Notifying the concerned customs departments and the concerned authorities on the names of the agents registered at it in the trade agents register, and any change, amendment or cancellation made to the registration during 30 days from the date of registration , amendment or cancellation.
Undertaking the tasks of control and inspection over the trade agents and their works and practicing the powers prescribed by law in this regard.
Payment of the prescribed fees.
Any other works related to the section.
B- Disputes section
The trade agents register is concerned with the following tasks:
Receiving the applications for complaints and disputes related to the trading agencies and referring them to the concerned entities concerned with resolving or deciding the disputes.
Issuing the decisions of confiscating the goods , products and industries and others which were imported in violation to the terms of law upon the trading agent’ request till the dispute is settled or decided.
Any other works related to the section.
Trading Agencies Committee
The Trading Agencies Committee is headed by the undersecretary and representatives for the chambers of commerce and the concerned authorities in the emirates, and is concerned with considering any dispute arise because of the trading agency.
