In addition to the following:The Department of Economic Statistics, Ministry of Economy, is the main reference for economic activities and to understand the economic situation and to deal with it understandingly. The following are amongst this department’s most important domains:
 
• Preparing the national accounts aggregates at the UAE level

• Preparing GDP (Gross Domestic Product) data at the emirate level

• Providing price data, with regard to the consumer, wholesale prices or production

• Developing data indices

• Providing foreign trade data (merchandise exports and imports)

• Providing statistical data on economic activities (agriculture, industry, construction, transport and communications, storage, wholesale and retail trade, financial services & insurance, hotels and restaurants)

• Preparing statistical indicators of living conditions, patterns of spending & consumption and families income, in addition to the preparation of poverty indicators and food situation

• Any other matters entrusted with the Ministry for implementation
