Ministry of Economy undertakes the role of the administration of the consumer protection by announcing the prices of about 180 items of the consumers’ fundamentals goods traded in the United Arab Emirates markets or traded in the main ports (16 ports) of the country. And the main objective to announce these prices is to monitor the markets and the prices, and comparing between the ports of trade to eliminate the prices hikes, and create and enhance the competition amongst all ports of trade, and direct and alert the consumers about the prices in good manner to help them choose the right price.

 Whereas the price index shows the movement of the prices, their the changes and their development from time to time to monitor the variations in prices, and to make the right decision.
