Media department handles a lot of tasks and responsibilities, where it is considered the ministry’s news correspondence and its face towards the public. So that the most important role of the media department is to declare the ministry’s goals and mission, and to announce its events and activities, and to work forward to gain the trust of the public through providing the public all news, activities and events the ministry execute in the united Arab Emigrated and abroad.

This department works in coordination with other departments and sections in the ministry to provide all information about the activities are being arranged and involved in to the public media like luctures, conferences, activities, programs, forums, training activities and workshops, in which many economists, businessmen, and the public are invited to participate and benefit.
 
Media coverage of the ministry’s news vary in the way its provided, like the reports, the articles, dialogues, news correspondences.

 Media department prepare the plan of the media activities that deal with all issues related to the work of the ministry, and interact with the outcome of the local economy.
Knowing that this department prepares the annual reports of the ministry’s achievements, which contain all achievements of the ministry, and the projects which are executed or still in execution phase on permanent and continuous manner.

The media department aims to achieve the following objectives:

-Create the mutual understanding between the ministry and the public media, and establish good reputation of the ministry in the public and business community, and maintain continuous communication amongst them all with defense against any attempt to degrade this relation, reputation or communication.

-Present the ministry to the public through its objectives, policies, efforts and the services it provides to the society.

-Aiming towards building a positive image of the ministry in the public.

-Gaining the satisfaction and the support from the public for the ministry’s activities and its services.

-Defending the ministry against the rumors and the false news some broadcasts about the ministry.

-Transfer a true image of the orientations and the public opinion about the ministry to the ministry’s leadership team.

-Interact with the society, and satisfy its needs of all news, facts, and precise and accurate statistics.

-Correspond with public media to spread the mission of the ministry, and to explain the data released from the ministry, and provide the news, the events, and the activities the ministry and its departments participate in.

-Enhance and maintain the relation between the ministry and business community in the united Arab Emirates and abroad.
